Performances and exhibitions to warm your winter heart

    The College of the Arts at 食色视频 (Arts食色视频) kicks off the new year with events featuring the School of Art and Design, the Department of Dance, the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies, and the Dr. Bobbie Bailey School of Music. Interim Dean said, 鈥淲e invite patrons to join us for some truly memorable events in January and February.鈥

    Saxophonist Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band) 
    The Bailey School of Music welcomes saxophonist Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones) and his Band of Other Brothers on Jan. 19 at 8 p.m. This cross-genre supergroup blends a variety of influences: the gritty South of the Allman Brothers, the funk of James Brown, the eerie melodies of Pink Floyd, and the improvisation of The Grateful Dead. Besides Coffin, the group also features drummer Jordan Perlson, keyboardist Chris Walters, bassist Felix Pastorius, and guitarist Nir Felder. For a limited time, !

    The Department of Theatre and Performance Studies will present 鈥淪tories for a Winter Night鈥 Jan. 19-21. Enjoy coming together on a winter鈥檚 night (or afternoon!) for humorous, heartbreaki

    ng, and honest performances from 食色视频 alumni. Performers include puppeteer Scottie Rowell, stand-up comedian Meg Harkins, storyteller Kit Fay, drag performer Hayden Rowe as Siberia The Queen, and improv with Maged Roushdi and friends. are on sale now.

    Next, get ready for the raucous musical comedy of 鈥淩eefer Madness,鈥 inspired by the original 1936 film of the same name. This highly political satire, slated for Feb. 13-18, will go straight to your head, and leave you wanting more! Get off the couch and today. 

    Celebrating 10 Years at the ZMA

    BODYTRAFFIC will be at 食色视频 Jan. 26-27.
    The School of Art and Design鈥檚 Zuckerman Museum of Art will present 鈥淩eflections: Honoring the Past, Celebrating the Future, Ten Years of the Zuckerman Museum of Art,鈥 opening Jan. 23 and running through May 11. Reflections features a thoughtful, careful selection of works from the Museum鈥檚 permanent collection. The public is invited to the opening reception on Thursday, Jan. 25 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Free with RSVP

    The Department of Dance will host Los Angeles-based BODYTRAFFIC on Jan. 26-27.
