Career and Academic Opportunities

Integrated Health Science majors complete courses in biomedical ethics, healthcare policy, behavioral healthcare, and healthcare innovation. They have strong communication, critical thinking, and interprofessional collaboration skills. The MSW provides a valuable opportunity for IHS majors to apply and enhance these skills as they assist medically underserved populations in a variety of health care careers. These include patient care advocates, medical social workers, patient navigators, health counselors, behavioral analysts, and health care coordinators.
