Scholarships and Financial Aid for Adult Learners

Scholarships for Adult Learners

Many adult learners feel excluded from scholarship opportunities, stopping them from progressing in their professional goals. However, many scholarships and financial aid opportunities are available to non-traditional students to assist them in achieving their educational aspirations.

Check out these scholarship options available for college-bound individuals who do not fit the classic student mold.

Grants for Adult Learners

If you’re going back to school as an adult, you should first complete the (FAFSA). The U.S. federal government and universities need to review your FAFSA to give you access to federal grants, loans and work-study programs. There are no age restrictions on federal aid — an adult learner completes the same FAFSA as a high school senior. Even if you don’t qualify for grants, you should still fill out the FAFSA to access federal and state-funded student loans.

These loans usually have lower interest rates with more accommodating repayment terms than private student loans, helping you save more money.
