2 in 2:  MAcc and CPA in 2 Semesters

Our 2 in 2 Master of Accounting (MAcc) degree program is a fast-paced, two-semester, cohort-based graduate program designed to help you achieve your career goals and certification requirements. During the nine-month program, you will complete 30 hours of graduate accounting courses and sit for all four parts of the CPA Exam.

The School of Accountancy at ʳɫÊÓƵ's Coles College of Business is fully accredited by AACSB International, and it is one of the largest accounting programs in the State of Georgia.

2 Objectives

The 2 in 2 program allows you to complete both your graduate degree and the CPA Exam in two semesters. You will choose a specialization in either Audit/Advisory or Tax, and your coursework will include 12 hours of specialty courses and 18 hours of core courses. You will double your accounting hours (beyond your undergraduate degree) in just nine months. Cohorts are limited, so class sizes are small.

Our Capstone courses include professional development and CPA preparation. During the two semesters, you will sit for all four parts of the CPA Exam in conjunction with your Capstone courses. You will prepare with your cohort for each CPA Exam section you take in sequence together.

2 Semesters

You will start the MAcc program with your cohort in August and end in early May. The accelerated pace of this program requires you to be skilled in time management and extremely focused. The average time commitment is over 50 hours per week, and the classes are offered during the daytime only. You should plan to commit full-time to the program.

Since you are taking the CPA Exam as part of the course work, you must have an undergraduate degree in business with at least 20 semester hours of upper-level accounting credit (beyond principles level accounting). The CPA Exam requirements are set at the state level, and accordingly, we cannot change them.

I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with my professors and professional mentors during the MAcc program at ʳɫÊÓƵ, many of whom I’m still in contact with today. In addition to building long-lasting relationships, having a cohort that studied for the CPA Exam together was a game-changer.
