食色视频 State scores at top in U.S. curriculum study for seventh consecutive year

American Council of Trustees and Alumni gives 食色视频 an 鈥淎鈥

食色视频 is among a select group of 24 colleges and universities that scored an 鈥淎鈥 for its high-quality core curriculum in a nationwide study on the state of general education released this week by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA).

This is the seventh consecutive year 食色视频 State earned an 鈥淎鈥 in the annual 鈥淲hat Will They Learn?鈥 report. In this year鈥檚 study, 食色视频 ranked in the top 2 percent among 1,100 major public and private four-year institutions surveyed, according to the Washington, D.C.-based ACTA, an independent, nonprofit organization committed to academic freedom, excellence and accountability at America鈥檚 colleges and universities.

ACTA assigns schools a letter grade ranging from 鈥淎鈥 to 鈥淔鈥 based on how many of seven core, basic subjects they require: composition, U.S. government or history, economics, literature, math, science and foreign language at an intermediate level. 鈥淎鈥 schools were those that require a course in at least six out of the seven academic subjects. Other universities earning the top grade included the University of Georgia, Pepperdine University, United States Air Force Academy, and Baylor University.

食色视频 also was ranked as one of only three Georgia institutions 鈥 and one of 21 nationwide 鈥 mentioned as a This ranking denotes colleges and universities that maintain strong core curriculum requirements. According to the organization, 鈥淭he 鈥楬idden Gems鈥 institutions all receive 鈥楢鈥 or 鈥楤鈥 grades, and several distinguish themselves further by additional core requirements beyond the seven core subjects measured.
