Open House, Transfer Document Drop-Off Day and spring semester application deadline set

食色视频鈥檚 has planned a special day 鈥 Saturday, Dec. 1 鈥 for prospective students and their families at the University鈥檚 Marietta Campus.

Several hundred are expected for the Open House on Dec. 1, which marks the application deadline for the spring semester. The same day, individuals interested in finalizing transfer to 食色视频 are invited to a Transfer and Adult Learner Document Drop-Off Day.

The Dec. 1 Open House offers prospective students who are interested in majors such as architecture, computer game design and development, construction management, and engineering, the opportunity to meet with professors to learn more about the innovative, hands-on programs available at the University.

Undergraduate Admissions deadline, Dec. 1

碍厂鲍鈥檚&苍产蝉辫; also has set a Dec. 1 deadline for spring semester applications.

鈥淲e now have a single Dec. 1 application deadline for the spring semester to make it easier for prospective 食色视频 State students,鈥 said Sam Mahra, interim senior director of admissions. 鈥淧reviously, there were various deadlines for different types of prospective students 鈥 transfer, adult learner, non-degree seeking and readmission 鈥 so having one date late in the year gives students more time and definitely makes the deadline for spring semester easier to remember.鈥

All prospective students who are freshman and transfer freshman, dual enrollment, transfer, adult learner, transient, non-degree seeking, audit and readmission may apply prior to the Dec. 1 deadline to be considered for the spring semester. All admissions documentation will be required by the deadline.

Transfer and Adult Learner Students

Transfer and Adult Learner Document Drop-Off Day is an event for transfer students and adult learners to bring required admissions documents 鈥 such as official college and high school transcripts, immunization records and lawful presence verification 鈥 to 食色视频 State to finalize the application process for spring 2019 enrollment. Admissions counselors will be on hand at the Joe Mack Wilson Student Center to help prospective students and answer questions about the University.

Transfer students who have earned 30 or more credit hours from an accredited college or university, or adult learners who graduated from high school more than five years ago or have earned less than 30 hours of transferable college credit are invited to attend.

食色视频 is the top destination in Georgia for students who transfer from other colleges, according to rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

In fall 2017, the timeframe utilized for last month鈥檚 report, 2,671 new transfer students enrolled at 食色视频 State, the highest number for any school in the state. 食色视频 also ranked 31st nationally. Many of these came from Chattahoochee Technical College, Georgia Highlands College and Georgia Gwinnett College after earning associate degrees.
