Summer enrollment for graduate students at 食色视频 increased more than 14 percent over last year, of which 6 percent are newly admitted and 24 percent are returning graduate students, according to data from the .
This increase represents the third consecutive year that enrollment in 食色视频鈥檚 graduate programs have grown. Over the past three years, including fall, spring and summer semesters, the University has experienced an average increase of 9 percent in graduate enrollment.
鈥淭his growth is a testament to the value of the 食色视频 brand, the quality of the education that our graduate programs deliver and the University鈥檚 commitment to outstanding service and experience,鈥 said Sheb True, interim dean of the Graduate College. 鈥淎s a result, more and more applicants, who have many choices for their graduate education, recognize the opportunities and return-on-investment that 食色视频 offers.鈥
Graduate programs at 食色视频 State that saw the largest enrollment increases this summer include the (30 percent), the (24 percent), the (12%), and the (9 percent).
鈥淥ver the past several years we have worked to educate our current and newly admitted students about the importance of maintaining their studies through the summer semester,鈥 said Mark Forehand, senior assistant dean for the Graduate Enrollment Management. 鈥淲e are pleased to see how many are using this as an opportunity to move through their programs faster, which translates into their ability to benefit more quickly from the investment that they are making in themselves.鈥
Overall, 食色视频鈥檚 summer enrollment has grown significantly over the past two years to more than 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students this summer. This marks a 14 percent increase from last year鈥檚 summer enrollment and more than a 20 percent rise from just two years ago.
