    Are you worried about teaching?  Are you serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) this year?  Would you like to be a GTA or adjunct instructor in the future?  If so, please attend the Graduate Student Teaching Orientation (GSTO), hosted by 食色视频’s 

     

    In GSTO, we’ll discuss common challenges GTAs face and give you a toolkit to help get you started in teaching and feel more relaxed and confident in your role.  In this online, interactive workshop, we’ll discuss:

     

    • Engaging with your supervisor to set an appropriate workload
    • Using scholarly teaching to improve student engagement
    • Creating spaces for active and inclusive learning in our classrooms

     

    Where: GSTO will be hosted online
    Time: 1-4:30 p.m.

      Naloxone Training for Graduate Students
      Naloxone Training for Graduate Students

      The Center for Young Adult Addiction and Recovery will host a naloxone training session that will teach graduate students how to administer naloxone, the medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

      Training is free for 食色视频 graduate students. Each person who attends and completes the training will be given a free Naloxone kit. Sign-up is required.

      At the end of this training, the participants will be able to:
      - Identify potential warning signs of an overdose
      - Operate and administer Naloxone in the event of an overdose
      - Identify how Naloxone works
      - Understand the Georgia Medical Amnesty Law
